Bernard Zuel has been listening to music since the glory days of vinyl and writing about music since the noisy days of typewriters.

He wrote for RAM and Rolling Stone, street press and Penrith Press, and worked for the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and smh.com.au for 25 years (and 36 days).

A lecturer in journalism at Sydney University, he is a founding judge of the Australian Music Prize, appears on TV and radio in Australia and internationally regularly, and still buys more music than is sensible.
